Dress Code 1: GENERAL PRINCIPLES All Golf Club members and visitors (social and golfing) to the club are required to dress in a clean, tidy and smart manner at all times unless this requirement is modified by the posting of notices that state otherwise for specific events/ functions. 2: RESPONSIBILITIES All members are responsible for ensuring compliance with this code and any members who introduce social or golfing visitors to the club are responsible for making sure that their visitors also comply with the requirements of this code. All members should support compliance with this code by challenging other members or visitors who fail to meet its requirements. Officials and employees of the club will be responsible for ensuring that all visitors who are not accompanied by a member are made aware of the requirements of this code. 3: SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS The following items are not acceptable in any area of the Club: Trainers, Denim Jeans, Tracksuits, Shell suits or Football shirts Shorts: Gents: Tailored, knee-length. Can be worn in the Club House up to 7pm from April to end October Ladies: Smart shorts of a respectable and inoffensive length. Can be worn in the Club House up to 7pm Socks: Gents: White and cover the ankle Ladies: Short or below the ankle Golf Tops: Gents: Must have a collar (crewnecks are not acceptable) Must have sleeves. Only small, discrete logos are acceptable Must be tucked into shorts/trousers

In the Club House: Gents: All shirts must have a collar and sleeves Shirts may not be worn outside trousers Jackets and ties are normally required for official functions and after 7pm (see notice boards for variations) Ladies: Smart inoffensive and respectable attire at all times Juniors under 10 years Dress rules do not apply to children under the age of 10 years. However they will be expected to dress in a clean, smart and tidy manner at all times. |
